Frequently Asked Questions

While I do not accept insurance directly, I am considered an out-of-network provider and will provide you with a receipt of services, which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. The full session fee is due at the time of service. It can be helpful to ask your insurance provider the following questions:

– Do I have out-of-network benefits?

– Do these benefits cover mental health and do I need a referral from a primary care provider?

– What is my rate for reimbursement and do I have to meet a deductible?

– Is there a limit to the number of sessions covered?

It’s normal to feel a mixture of emotions, including fear, anxiety, hope, and excitement, when calling or making your first counseling appointment. Starting therapy may feel daunting, but I strive to make the process as comfortable and supportive as possible

Length of treatment will vary per person and per therapeutic goal. Therapy is the most effective when you are motivated, committed, and open to working towards your goal, both in and out of session.
We will schedule a free 10-15 minute phone call where we can talk about what you would like to get out of therapy, discuss any questions you have about the process, and ensure that we both feel that I would be the right fit for you.
